SmartyPants' standard line uses gelatin as the gummy base. Their organic line also uses gelatin. They do offer a "Vegetarian" formula, but their core products (and their most popular ones) are not vegan-friendly. If vegan formulation matters to you, GMMY is the simpler choice.

Is SmartyPants or GMMY better for kids?

SmartyPants offers dedicated kids' formulas with age-appropriate dosing and nutrients (including omega-3s). GMMY doesn't currently have a kids' line — our products are formulated for adults.
